Pregnancy and Childbirth Services at NSMC

Throughout your time at our hospital for childbirth, we will be asking you what you want and how we can help. What's important to you and your baby is important to us. The Women's Center team will do everything they can to provide a personalized experience that meets your needs.

North Suburban's state-of-the-art birthing facility features:

• Spacious birthing suites with shower and sleeping accommodations for spouse/partner
• Birth balls, rocking chairs and squat bars to use while labor progresses
• Surgical suites for women delivering by Cesarean section or for post-birth procedures
• Flat-screen TVs with DVD/VCR/CD combination units
• Internet access

Level 2 Nursery for Premature & Very Sick Babies

For babies born early or with complex medical conditions, North Suburban Medical Center provides advanced care in our Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Our NICU offers one of the highest levels of medical care available for newborns and young babies.
