Thank you for your interest in Swedish Medical Center's volunteer program. Our dedicated volunteers are valued members of our Swedish health care team are an integral part of providing exemplary care to our patients and visitors.
Swedish Medical Center's Volunteer Service department proudly places volunteers in over 45 different areas within our facility consisting of, but not limited to: Interventional Radiology, Neurodiagnostics Clerical and Colorado Neurological Institute Patient Education and Research, Pathology-Laboratory Sciences, Level 1 Trauma Emergency Room, Surgery and Critical Care Waiting Rooms, Swedish Orthopedic Center (SOC), Pre-Admit Clinic and Ambulatory Care Unit, Gift Gallery and Surgical Pre-OP/PACU.
Labor and Delivery/Gynecological Surgery Department and Family Care Unit for adult women ages 18 and older. These exciting positions entail facilitating our nursing personnel with escorting and transporting patients, running lab errands, answering phones and making charts and assisting with our Mommy and Me tea program. Information Desk Ambassadors and Patient Visitation: These key volunteers are the frontline dedicated to ensuring that all patients and guests are welcomed at Swedish! As two of our most valued volunteer positions, Ambassadors also escort patients and visitors to their destination and patient visitors spend time conversing with patients who could benefit most from a visit. Exceptional customer service skills, a commitment to excellence and a desire to go over and beyond to be of assistance to our patients and visitors is a must for this position. Physical requirements: the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Our Medical Staff Office is seeking highly qualified administrative/clerical volunteer candidates to assist with multiple projects Monday through Friday. Strong computer, organizational skills and the ability to work independently are a must.
Swedish Medical Center, proudly affiliated with the American Cancer Society, is pleased to announce volunteer recruitment for our Cancer Resource Center. If you would like to join our volunteer team, please complete an application and return it to the Volunteer Service Office for processing. Please note that all volunteers must complete and clear a background check facilitated by our human resource department before volunteering.
We also require our adult volunteers, ages 18 and older, and junior volunteers, students ages 14 to 18, to make a minimum six month commitment, four hours per week.
